CNC Lathe Operator – join a skilled and supportive team! Kone-Tuomi Oy is a Finnish family-owned contract machine shop founded in 1945, specialising in demanding heavy and medium-heavy machining. The company has production units in Turku and Kauttua in Eura and employs around 60 machining professionals. Kone-Tuomi is known for its long experience, strong expertise and modern machinery. It serves Finnish export industries and offers CNC machining, turning, boring, milling and industrial maintenance services. We are looking for a CNC lathe operator for Kone-Tuomi Oy for a long-term position in the Turku region. This is a varied role in a machine-shop environment, working with individual workpieces and small batches. The work is suitable for someone who enjoys varied machining tasks and wants to develop their skills as part of a skilled team. Work is mainly in two shifts from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts depending on production needs. The position starts as soon as possible by agreement. Key duties You will operate CNC lathes and manufacture different components according to technical drawings. Production consists mainly of individual workpieces and small batches, so the work is varied rather than repeating the same component every day. Modern CNC lathes are used, and you can apply and develop your skills through varied machining work. What we expect from you We hope you have previous experience in CNC turning. Practical skills and a willingness to learn are more important than formal education. We also value familiarity with machining programs, the ability to read technical drawings and a self-directed approach. Although we hope you already have experience, you do not need to know everything in advance. New employees receive thorough induction and initially work alongside an experienced professional.
