Do you want to lead a demanding acute care unit that combines multidisciplinary cooperation, a jointly built operational culture, and continuous development? We are seeking a Ward Manager for a permanent position at the Meilahti Emergency Ward. The Emergency Ward provides a versatile operating environment where adult patients requiring emergency hospital care are treated in close cooperation with the joint emergency department, various specialties, and other partners. Our unit was formed by the merger of two previous emergency wards. Together, we have successfully built a common operational culture emphasizing open cooperation, strong professionalism, staff participation, and continuous operational development. As the Ward Manager, you will serve as the immediate supervisor for the nursing staff and be responsible for managing the unit's operations, personnel, finances, and the quality of nursing care in close cooperation with the chief physician. You will work in active cooperation with other supervisors, physicians, and partners in the emergency area. In this role, you will lead: * staff competence, occupational well-being, and success at work * daily operations in a goal-oriented manner * the quality of nursing care, patient safety, and operational effectiveness * the planning of personnel resources * operational development utilizing principles of data-driven management and operational key figures. Salary is according to the SOTE agreement 4559.96 €/month plus possible years of service increments or a personal salary supplement. Start date: 1.10.2026 or by agreement.
