Early Years Teacher

Räntämäen päiväkoti is located near diverse learning environments, partly in a multicultural area. Our day care has 10 groups in four units. The staff consists of motivated, enthusiastic and competent early childhood education professionals. The teaching position is a substitute teacher in Emmauksenkadun unit, in the small group. As an early childhood teacher you are responsible for building the culture of your group and the learning environment, planning pedagogical activities, implementing, developing and evaluating them, and supporting each child’s individual learning. We value strong pedagogical expertise and good interaction and organizational skills. We expect a flexible and positive attitude, a development-oriented working approach and constructive collaboration skills within the team. Child participation and sensitive interaction with children are especially important to us. The job requires good spoken and written Finnish. We will interview applicants during the application period. We consider students who are about to graduate in early childhood education and those interested in the job. Eligibility is determined by the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) § 26 / § 27. The chosen candidate must deliver a police background check (as required by the Child Working with Children Act 504/2002) to the employer.
