Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized International Payroll Analyst with 3+ years of payroll experience to support the day-to-day operations of our global payroll function. This role will coordinate payroll activities across multiple international countries and serve as a key liaison between the Payroll, Finance, People Operations, and HR Business Partner teams. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing international payroll processes, partnering with third-party payroll providers, and ensuring that all employee changes and payroll inputs are accurately captured and processed within monthly payroll deadlines. Key Responsibilities - Support the day-to-day administration and execution of payroll across multiple international countries. - Manage monthly payroll cycles and coordinate with local and global payroll providers to ensure payrolls are processed accurately and on time. - Serve as a key liaison between Payroll, Finance, People Operations, and HR Business Partners to ensure all payroll-impacting information is communicated and captured in the appropriate payroll cycle. - Collect, review, and validate payroll inputs provided by HRBPs and People Operations, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, bonuses, commissions, allowances, leaves of absence, benefits, and other employee changes. - Submit payroll inputs and supporting documentation to payroll providers in accordance with established country-specific deadlines. - Review preliminary payroll reports and calculations for accuracy and investigate discrepancies before final payroll approval. - Partner with payroll providers to resolve payroll issues, employee inquiries, and calculation discrepancies in a timely manner. - Maintain international payroll calendars and proactively follow up with internal stakeholders to ensure required information is received before payroll cutoffs. - Partner with Finance on payroll funding requirements, payroll reporting, reconciliations, and month-end activities. - Review final payroll results against source data to ensure all information provided by People Operations and HRBPs has been accurately reflected. - Support payroll-related variable compensation, including bonuses, commissions, and other supplemental payments. - Assist with payroll processing and reporting related to employee equity transactions. Previous equity payroll experience is a plus. - Track open payroll issues and work with internal teams and external providers through resolution. - Maintain accurate payroll records, supporting documentation, and audit trails in accordance with internal control requirements. - Support payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance requests. - Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, documentation, and cross-functional communication. Qualifications & Experience - 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably with experience supporting payroll across multiple international countries. - Hands-on experience working with third-party and/or local payroll providers. - Strong understanding of the end-to-end payroll process and payroll controls. - Experience partnering cross-functionally with People Operations, HR Business Partners, Finance, and external vendors. - Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies and drive issues through resolution. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple country payroll calendars and competing deadlines. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned payrolls, and appropriately escalate risks and issues. - Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing, and evolving global environment. Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting payroll across multiple countries and regions, particularly EMEA and APAC. - Experience with equity compensation and the payroll and tax implications of equity transactions is a plus. - Familiarity with global payroll platforms and HRIS systems. - Experience supporting payroll implementations, system migrations, or new-country payroll setups. - Knowledge of international payroll compliance and statutory requirements. - Experience with payroll reconciliations, audits, and internal controls.
