Steel Structural Designer, Ramboll (multiple locations) We are looking for a steel structural designer for Ramboll who already has design experience and an interest in a workshop environment. The work combines structural design, calculations and understanding practical production requirements. Job description As a steel structural designer, you will work on various steel structures and workshop designs. You will see different stages of design and understand how plans work in practice in production. Workdays vary according to projects. At times you will focus on designing and calculating a particular entity; at other times you will have smaller, faster-moving design tasks. Responsibilities Design and dimension steel structures; prepare workshop designs; produce structural calculations; work with BIM models and design software; adapt design solutions to workshop production methods; develop designs in cooperation with the project team and production. We are looking for We are looking for a steel structural designer with experience in steel structure design and an interest in a workshop environment. It is important to understand both the technical requirements of structures and how designs can be implemented in practice. We expect you to have relevant construction education (MSc or a university of applied sciences engineering degree), experience in steel structure design, strong structural engineering skills, familiarity with BIM and steel structure calculation software, experience preparing workshop designs, and an understanding of workshop production requirements. You work in a customer-oriented and collaborative way. Fluent Finnish is essential for the role, and good English is needed. Swedish language skills are an advantage. If required by the client project, a security clearance may be conducted during employment. An approved security clearance is a condition for continuing employment.
