The Faculty of Education at the University of Lapland invites applications for a University Lecturer in Special Education, starting 1 April 2027 or by agreement. The faculty offers core degree programmes in education, adult education, and sustainability education, as well as teacher education and specialist training in special education. It hosts the Gender Studies unit and Media Education Hub, and a practice school operates under the faculty. Research themes align with the university’s strategic goals, focusing on participation, equality, inclusion, and sustainable development in education, learning, and teaching. The lecturer’s duties include teaching courses in special education, student supervision, coordinating teaching practicum placements, supervising theses, and contributing to research and funding applications. Preference is given to those with advanced studies in special education and research in the field. In addition to teaching, the lecturer conducts research, participates in applying for research funding, and contributes to educational development and administrative duties.
