Lead the development and certification of the quality management system at the Hämeenlinna site and later also the Pirkkala site, with a focus on enhancing production quality capability and building our operating system in line with ISO 9001 requirements and certification. Work closely with production, management and customers to make daily work clearer, defect-free and more efficient. The role is based in Hämeenlinna with start date as agreed with the successful candidate. Key responsibilities include establishing and certifying the quality system and driving ISO 9001 certification; developing quality of production by analyzing data, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvement actions (e.g., deviation control, root cause analysis, 5S/Lean); developing measurement and quality control methods and ensuring calibration of measuring equipment; handling internal and supplier assessments and customer/certification audits; leading quality culture through training and engaging personnel in quality thinking to make quality a daily norm. Requirements include relevant technical education (e.g., engineer/DI, machine or production engineering); experience from metalworking/machine shop manufacturing and quality requirements; proven ability to implement ISO 9001 compliant systems and certification processes; knowledge of quality tools (e.g., 8D, root cause analysis, SPC); systematic, solution-oriented and collaborative working style; strong Finnish and English skills (written and spoken). - Develop and certify the quality management system; drive ISO 9001 certification project to completion
- Improve production quality capability by analyzing production data, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvement actions (deviation control, root cause analysis, 5S/Lean)
- Develop measurement and quality control methods and ensure calibration processes for measuring equipment
- Manage internal and supplier audits as well as customer and certification audits
- Lead quality culture by training and engaging staff in quality thinking to make quality a daily focus
- Lead the collaboration with production, management and customers to improve processes
Requirements
- Suitable technical education (e.g., engineer/DI, machine or production engineering)
- Experience in metalworking/manufacturing methods and quality requirements
- Proven track record building ISO 9001 compliant systems and leading certification processes
- Familiar with quality improvement tools (e.g., 8D, Root Cause Analysis, SPC)
- Systematic, solution-oriented and collaborative work approach
- Good Finnish and English language skills (written and spoken)
