Electrical Operations Manager

We are looking for an Electrical Operations Manager for our Renewables and Energy Storage Construction department in the Energy division. The person we are looking for is a power engineering professional with experience in operating, maintaining or commissioning electrical installations, or in electrical project management, and an interest in renewable energy projects. Your duties include electrical operations manager and electrical technical expert tasks for renewable energy facilities, including substations, grid connections, medium- and high-voltage systems, battery energy storage, and solar and wind power plants. You will be responsible for the safe and compliant operation of electrical installations and their technical reliability. Your duties include directing operations and maintenance, ensuring electrical work safety, developing operating processes and documentation, and coordinating commissioning, testing and energisation. You will also assess technical solutions for electrical systems, act as an electrical technical expert in renewable energy projects, and take care of customer cooperation and technical reporting in accordance with current legislation, regulatory requirements and customer objectives. Your primary work location may be Oulu, Tampere, Ylivieska, Seinäjoki or Vaasa, but other work locations and partial remote work are also possible. The job involves regular work at renewable energy sites in Finland and requires readiness to travel within Finland. Occasional work and inspection trips abroad may also be required. The person we are looking for has: - Education suitable for the role (engineer / M.Sc. in engineering). - At least five years of experience in power engineering, substations, grid connections or energy projects. - Experience in operating, maintaining or commissioning electrical installations, or in electrical operations management. - S1 electrical qualification and the ability to act as an electrical operations manager. - A good understanding of medium- and high-voltage systems and electrical work safety requirements. - The ability to work independently in expert and responsibility-bearing roles. - Good ability to work under pressure. - Fluent skills in MS Office software. - Fluent Finnish and good English skills. The following are considered an advantage: - Experience with wind power, solar power or battery energy storage projects. - Experience in electrical operations manager duties for high- or medium-voltage installations. - Experience in substation design, construction or operation. - Experience in the work of a construction management consultant, owner organisation or grid company. - SFS 6002, occupational safety or other electrical-sector qualifications.
