Cloud Engineer

Cloud Engineer WisePlatform is growing, and with it the demands on its infrastructure: it must scale with customer demand, remain stable and stay cost-effective. We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to take responsibility for this whole area on Google Cloud Platform—from infrastructure design and automation to day-to-day maintenance and supporting developers. WisePlatform – everything in one system WiseNetwork offers its customers a CRM-driven business system whose tools are designed from the outset to work seamlessly together. In addition to customer management (CRM), a publishing system (CMS) and tools for marketing, sales and financial administration, we produce industry-specific tools (WisePlatform Golf, WisePlatform Gym, WisePlatform Event)—all in one package. Our customer base is diverse, ranging from golf courses and gyms to Liiga ice hockey teams. What will you do? - Design and manage WisePlatform’s Google Cloud infrastructure. - Introduce Observability 2.0 tools across all our applications. - Maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation. - Maintain the mobile application release pipeline (Google Play and App Store). - Monitor system health and performance. - Continuously optimise infrastructure for cost and performance. - Implement automatic scaling to respond to changes in customer demand. - Support developers with infrastructure-related questions. - Support the migration from virtual machines to Cloud Run. - Advance the adoption of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code. - Lead infrastructure automation work, guiding the team on which areas to automate first to deliver the greatest value. What are we looking for? We are looking for someone with strong technical skills and a desire to take the lead in modernising our infrastructure. You are a good fit for our team if: - You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science (or a related field), or at least three years of equivalent work experience. - You are proficient in Terraform and containers, Google Cloud and MySQL, and can use Python and Bash. - You can read and understand PHP and Vue.js codebases. - You have a strong understanding of operating and troubleshooting high-load web infrastructure (for example, load balancers, nginx, PHP-FPM tuning, database connection management and latency debugging). - You speak and write Finnish and English fluently. - Experience with other cloud services in addition to Google Cloud, such as AWS and/or Azure, is considered an advantage.
