Assembly Technician

Ingersoll Rand group Gardner Denver Oy designs and manufactures high-quality air compressor devices and screw units for production and process industries, with roots in Tampere’s industrial history. The Tampere unit’s production is in strong growth, and we are now looking for several assembly technicians to reinforce our teams in Messukylä. What would you do with us? In this role you will work on the mechanical assembly of compressors as part of an experienced production team. Your daily tasks include mechanical installations using various hand tools, handling materials with a forklift, and recording steps in the production ERP system. You will also participate in quality assurance and ensure the quality of your work. You will be able to participate in the manufacturing of products more comprehensively and see your own work reflected in the finished product. The work hours depend on the task and you may work in day shifts or in 2- or 3-shift operations. Beginning times for the day shift are flexible between 7–9. The employment is permanent and initially with Biisoni. Requirements include experience in mechanical assembly or other industrial tasks; you can be an experienced professional or at the early stage of your career, as long as you have technical understanding, willingness to learn, and interest in assembly work. Proficiency in reading technical drawings, experience with hand tools, and understanding of quality requirements are valued. Forklift experience is an advantage; training is provided if needed. We value cooperative attitude and ability to work with different people. The Tampere site employs around 200 people and offers a thorough onboarding. The employment follows Teknologiateollisuuden collective agreement, with compensation matching your prior experience. The site offers good transport links and parking.
