Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician Location: We are seeking a maintenance technician for the factory in Kurikka for a permanent position. Fortaco is a leading European contract manufacturer. Its core business areas are cabins for work machines, ready-to-install steel structure components, and assemblies for the vehicle and material handling sectors. Fortaco has production units in six different countries and approximately 2,800 employees in total. In Finland, Fortaco operates in two locations, Kurikka and Sastamala. Welded cabin frames and customer-tailored, fully equipped cabin and drilling equipment assemblies are manufactured in Kurikka. The maintenance technician’s duties include: - Preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of machines and equipment - Diagnosing and repairing electrical and automation faults in machinery - Mechanical repairs, including work related to hydraulics, pneumatics and power transmission - Maintaining building technology and carrying out minor repairs - Updating the maintenance system and reporting maintenance work - Following occupational safety regulations in daily work The work is mainly done on one shift, but the role requires readiness to work two shifts when needed. We expect applicants to have: - A suitable technical vocational qualification, for example in mechanical engineering, maintenance, electrical work or automation - Good mechanical skills and basic maintenance knowledge - Electrical expertise and the ability to read electrical diagrams - An independent, careful and solution-oriented approach to work - Good cooperation and teamwork skills - Good Finnish language skills The following are considered advantages: - Automation and robotics expertise and familiarity with Siemens PLCs - Previous experience in industrial or building maintenance - English language skills Above all, we value an enthusiastic attitude, motivation and a willingness to develop your skills.
