About the role

We are seeking a development‑minded and enthusiastic team member for a permanent position in customer service for job seekers at the Sipoo unit, as part of Kerava and Sipoo’s employment services area. The role sits within Kerava City’s personnel structure, in the employment services unit of about 68 people. From 1 January 2025, Kerava and Sipoo’s employment area will be responsible for tasks under the Labour Authority. Our goal is to provide impactful services for job seekers and employers/companies, implement job brokerage activities, support employment, ensure skilled labor supply, and implement other actions to raise regional employment. The Specialist in Customer Service for Job Seekers implements the statutory service process for job seekers and handles statements and decisions related to unemployment benefits. Your duties include assessing the client’s service needs, supporting job search, and guiding to employment-supporting services. In client meetings, joint client plans are created based on needs. As a specialist, you facilitate employment, support and monitor client employment. For clients requiring multidisciplinary support, you will work with network partners. You will be part of a diverse and capable team. We are now recruiting a Specialist for permanent employment in the Sipoo services, serving job seekers in Sipoo (excluding integration clients and clients with a foreign language background). Success in the role requires: - Broad understanding of measures that promote employment and how the labor market operates - Knowledge of employment‑related legislation - Strong customer service skills and ability to meet diverse clients - Understanding of clients’ service needs and guiding clients - Excellent change tolerance and a solution‑oriented attitude - Strong collaborative spirit and ability to network with partners - Excellent interpersonal, cooperation and teamwork skills Requirements: a suitable higher education degree or equivalent previous college degree and at least five (5) years of work experience. Language skills: good written and spoken Finnish and Swedish. Other languages are an advantage. Local knowledge is an advantage. Salary: 3,482.68 € + possible KVTES‑based supplements. Working hours: 36.25 h/week. The position is permanent. A valid health certificate is required for appointment. A six‑month trial period applies. The position will be filled from 1 Oct 2026 or by agreement. Kerava City is the responsible employer and Kerava City’s Sipoo unit is located in Sipoo Söderkulla. Our unit has good team spirit and an enthusiastic atmosphere. In the spring employee survey (response rate 90%), wellbeing index was 4.06 and supervisor index 4.02 (on a 1–5 scale).
