Process Operator for Yara Eco Oy Nokian plant. Yara is a world-leading fertilizer and environmental solutions company founded in 1905, employing over 17,000 people and operating in more than 160 countries. In Finland, Yara has four production facilities in Uusikaupunki, Kokkola, Nokia and Siilinjärvi, employing about 900 people. At the Nokian plant, recycled fertilizers for agriculture are produced. The factory is located in ECO3 bio- and circular economy park, where a team of about 15 people works to promote circular economy and sustainable food production. We are looking for a process operator for a permanent and responsible production task. The chosen person will be employed by Yara Eco Oy. The role combines process control, machine operation and hands-on production work to ensure smooth production. The candidate should commit to long-term mastering of production processes within a professional team. Training will start with a thorough onboarding during October–November, about 1 month. Work is typically in two shifts, but the candidate must be prepared for three shifts. Tasks include monitoring and guiding the production process from control room, observing process operation and making necessary decisions during production, collaborating with other operators, operating wheel loaders for production support, cleaning production equipment and drums with hand tools, coordinating with external actors and directing incoming drivers as needed. Daily work includes physical tasks such as cleaning drums with a hand scraper and working in a dusty environment using a powered respirator, as well as control-room related tasks requiring accuracy, focus and responsible work attitude. Experience with wheel loaders or other heavy machinery is valued, as is experience in energy, process, earthworks, forestry or asphalt sectors. Good basic IT skills, ability to quickly learn new tasks and systems, good communication and teamwork skills, calm, responsible and precise working style and good physical condition. Salary is based on competence and experience, approximately €16.50–€17 per hour. In addition to hourly pay, shift allowances according to the Chemical Industry collective agreement apply.
