We are now seeking a PRODUCTION PLANNER for the Electrical and Mechanical Department in Riihimäki. As part of the work-planning team, your duties include preparing the department’s jobs before they move into production. This includes quotation planning and calculation, preliminary planning, identifying and carrying out planning needs within your expertise, producing and compiling work drawings and instructions, reviewing materials, and planning how the work will be carried out. The focus of the work is to produce as clear a plan as possible for taking the job through production. You will use various systems, including the SAP enterprise resource planning system, the necessary design programs and Millog’s own information management system. As part of the department, you will participate in monitoring upcoming and ongoing work and support other department members with your specialist expertise when needed. Could you be the person we are looking for? You have an educational background in electrical engineering suited to the role. You can read electrical drawings, identify deviations and make red-line corrections. Previous experience with defence-industry systems and the components used in them is an advantage. Experience in modernising and re-equipping other technical devices is also considered an advantage. You have good organisational skills and a willingness to take responsibility and support your team both in everyday problem situations and in succeeding at work. You have a customer-oriented approach and enjoy working with different stakeholders. Success in the role requires initiative, interpersonal skills and accountability. The Production Planner has an important role in ensuring work is completed, so you need good problem-solving and organisational skills and the ability to tolerate occasional pressure at work. You are flexible when needed and have a positive service attitude. You communicate needs clearly and are ready to find solutions together.
