Experienced Full-Stack Developer

Do you want to build a solution used every day by hundreds of thousands of Finns? Join us in developing K-Ruoka’s digital offering, one of Finland’s largest and most visible consumer services. We are strengthening Kesko’s in-house software development capability and looking for experienced developers who want to take responsibility for the quality, maintainability and technical direction of solutions. What team? The K-Ruoka backend team builds and maintains e-commerce backend systems and internal administration interfaces in a modern AWS environment. The team includes Kesko’s own developers and specialists from Finland’s leading consulting firms, so you will be surrounded by experienced developers and designers. Your role Your work directly affects the reliability, performance and user experience of K-Ruoka’s digital services. - Design, implement and maintain Node.js- and TypeScript-based backend services and APIs. - Develop the AWS environment and infrastructure with Terraform. - Work with PostgreSQL databases and integrations. - Develop React-based administration interfaces when needed. - Improve test automation, delivery pipelines, observability and system reliability. - Participate in technical decisions and the long-term development of solutions. We are looking for a self-directed and collaborative developer who makes appropriate technical choices, takes responsibility for their quality and wants to create the best possible customer experience. What we expect from you - Several years of experience developing large or business-critical web services. - Strong backend and infrastructure skills (TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, SQL, Terraform). - Experience in frontend development (React). - Understanding of scalable architecture. - A self-directed and solution-oriented approach. - Observability skills (Dynatrace/Sentry). - Experience with AI-assisted software development and your own views on using it effectively and responsibly in software development (Claude/GitHub Copilot). - Fluent Finnish and English.
