Lawyer We are recruiting a lawyer to strengthen advocacy concerning working conditions in the social, healthcare and education sectors. The employment is permanent. This is a new position intended to improve and develop advocacy for Tehy members from the perspectives of occupational safety and working conditions. The lawyer’s duties will be shaped partly by the selected person’s experience and expertise, but will include legal matters related to occupational safety, working conditions and employment law, as well as various tasks related to developing Tehy members’ working conditions. An essential part of the duties is training members and employee representatives, conducting negotiations and related development work. You will work as part of a team and in close cooperation with Tehy’s other experts. The position requires a Master of Laws degree, substantial experience in employment law and developing collective agreements, and an interest in occupational safety matters. The role also requires initiative, an independent approach to work and excellent collaboration skills. We hope you have a genuine interest in developing working conditions in the social, healthcare and education sectors and in broader societal advocacy. Experience developing work environments in these sectors is considered an advantage. Your workplace is at Tehy’s central office in Vallila, Helsinki.
