Legal and Insurance Business Trainee

Are you interested in law, business and insurance? Would you like to apply what you have learned in your law studies and learn from experienced specialists? We are looking for an early-career legal professional for LähiTapiola Pääkaupunkiseutu’s 16-month trainee programme. We offer permanent employment and the opportunity to grow into an insurance law and business specialist through varied work, comprehensive onboarding and the support of experienced professionals. As a trainee, you will work at the intersection of legal matters, claims handling and insurance business. You will learn about different claims situations, prepare legal solutions and consider legal questions from the perspectives of business and customers. What will you get to do? As a trainee, you will: - Become familiar with legal expenses, liability and property liability claims. - Learn about insurance law, insurance products and making claims decisions. - Prepare legal solutions and analyse legal questions. - Take part in customer meetings and learn about legal questions concerning corporate customers. - Support business and sales in legal matters. - Participate in business development and work with specialists from different fields. As your skills develop, you will take responsibility for your own areas of work and contribute to more demanding legal questions and development projects. You will build a broad understanding of corporate and private customer business and connect with specialists working across the LähiTapiola Group. Who is this role for? You may be in the final stages of your law studies or have recently graduated. The role is especially suitable if you want to combine legal expertise with business understanding and are interested in building a career in insurance. We hope you have: - An interest in law, business and insurance. - The ability to analyse legal questions and form reasoned views. - A business-oriented mindset and interest in customers’ activities. - Strong written, teamwork and communication skills. - The confidence to ask questions, take responsibility and share your views. - A curious, eager-to-learn approach and willingness to work as part of a team. Your potential matters more to us than previous work experience: your ability to learn, interest in combining law and business, and motivation to grow into a legal specialist in insurance. You do not need prior knowledge of insurance law; you will receive comprehensive onboarding and support from experienced specialists.
