As Shift Manager, you are responsible for leading the restaurant floor’s daily operations and ensuring the customer experience during your shift. Life at the airport is fast-paced, international and constantly changing. Your day is built around leading the shift, supporting the team and achieving sales targets while actively participating in the restaurant’s daily operations. Your workday may include: • Starting the shift and organising tasks • Guiding, supporting and motivating the team during the day • Taking responsibility for customer service and ensuring service quality • Actively leading sales and monitoring targets • Working at the cash register and participating in daily floor duties • Onboarding and coaching new employees • Ensuring self-monitoring, cleanliness and compliance with safety instructions • Cooperating with the kitchen and other airport operators • Closing the shift and preparing for the next shift We hope you have: • At least two years’ experience in a comparable supervisory role in the restaurant industry • The ability to lead the team by example in everyday work • An understanding of restaurant business and the ability to lead shifts efficiently and with a focus on results • Good organisational skills and resilience under pressure • Finnish and English language skills • A hygiene passport and an alcohol-serving passport • A positive, proactive and solution-oriented attitude • A clean background; working at the airport requires passing a security clearance conducted by the Finnish Security and Intelligence Service • A genuine “Passion for Passengers” attitude and an energetic approach to work We offer: • Permanent employment with an agreed schedule of 90 hours per three weeks • Pay according to the tourism and restaurant industry collective agreement • The opportunity to start by agreement, as soon as possible • An international and unique working environment at the airport • Support from a skilled and encouraging team • A varied and responsible role leading the restaurant’s daily operations • Comprehensive onboarding and opportunities to develop your career Pay is determined according to the MaRaVa collective agreement and is €15.60–€16.93 per hour depending on experience, plus supplements. Work begins as soon as a suitable person is found, after passing the security clearance. The employment contract is made between the employee and Staffpoint. Interested? Great!
