HVAC Designer

We are looking for an HVAC designer to work with us on energy-efficiency projects. You will focus on detailed design for implementation. You will see energy projects from their early stages through to commissioning. You will turn clients’ objectives into practical ways to deliver them. Your daily work includes design tasks and site visits. You will take part in interesting construction projects for commercial and industrial properties, where we aim for sustainable, energy-efficient solutions. As your expertise grows, you will also have the opportunity to participate in project planning and preliminary studies. You will join our team of energy experts, bringing together experienced professionals and the perspectives of newer experts. In our growing team, you can help develop our services, solve clients’ energy challenges, and advance renewable energy solutions and carbon neutrality in regionally significant projects. Your colleagues will include a diverse group of environmental and energy specialists. We work flexibly remotely and at Granlund’s headquarters in Malmi, Helsinki. We encourage regular face-to-face meetings and aim to meet with the team at the office twice a week. Regarding salary, the level for this role is €3,000–€4,500 per month. In addition to your expertise, this depends on how your profile and potential match what we are looking for. You can apply if you have a suitable degree in HVAC engineering, either an engineering degree or a Master of Science in Technology. You need previous design experience and the ability to take independent responsibility for design. You are interested in building services and energy efficiency in different types of properties. You are comfortable using various software and able and willing to learn new programs. If you already have experience with conventional building-services solutions, we hope you can suggest how to adapt them to each project’s energy system. You are familiar with the basics of AutoCAD. Experience using Revit is an advantage. You will succeed in this role if you communicate fluently with clients and colleagues. You are ready to take responsibility, learn new things and develop your expertise in the rapidly changing energy sector. Success in the role requires fluent Finnish and the ability to produce concise, professional expert texts. Other language skills are an advantage. How does this sound?
