Lead ICT Architect responsible for the technology and systems architecture development and maintenance of services delivered to the education sector. The role involves ensuring architecture supports strategic objectives, enabling cohesive long-term development and sustainable technology solutions, considering evolving technology and changing environments. Works closely with other architects and engages in national and European development with key stakeholders such as universities and ministry partners. Responsibilities include overseeing technology and information systems architecture for education services, maintaining current and target state descriptions, supporting new service architectures and ensuring consistency across solutions, designing integration architectures, aligning interfaces with other architectures, international collaboration and active stakeholder network work, and monitoring European standards and interoperability in national solutions. Requirements include a relevant university degree, at least five years of experience in information systems and technology architecture, experience with development of digital services, ability to plan, analyze and manage large information system ecosystems and propose solution architectures, architecture modeling proficiency and experience with modeling tools, strong ability to grasp and document target architectures, proactive work attitude, excellent communication and written documentation skills, project leadership experience with agile methods and a track record of successful projects, and fluency in Finnish and English. We value experience with education sector digital services and architectures and knowledge of public sector and higher education environments, as well as experience with European education sector collaboration.
