Special Education Teacher

We are looking for a special education teacher for early childhood education for the Pelttarinkatu unit to strengthen the pedagogical expertise of our day care centre. As a special education teacher for early childhood education, you will operate in different stages of the support process and collaborate with group staff through parallel and co-teaching. You will participate in supporting the pedagogical leadership of the day care centre. You will be part of the day care centre's management team, which includes the day care centre director and the deputy director. A regional consulting special education teacher for early childhood education will support your work. Your duties include cooperation with various stakeholders and active interaction with guardians. Our activities are guided by a warm, positive, and respectful attitude towards the child. We identify children's strengths and use them as a basis for planning and implementing activities. The eligibility requirement is determined according to Section 30 of the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). The person selected for the position must provide the employer with a criminal record extract as referred to in Section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act (Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children 504/2002). A probationary period applies to the employment relationship.
