Data Model Coordinator

We are seeking a Data Model Coordinator for road, general areas and highway design projects. In this role you ensure that design documents are in proper condition and that solutions from different disciplines fit together well. You work under an experienced infrastructure team, with WSP’s over 450 infrastructure and transport experts across Finland. In many projects, road design is part of broader urban development. As a Data Model Coordinator you will work in an environment with, for example, geotechnical, water management, environmental and structural design specialists. Our primary locations are Oulu and Rovaniemi, but Tampere, Helsinki or Jyväskylä can also be possible sites. You will help ensure data starting points, models and materials are in the correct place and comply with content requirements. You may also, if interested, contribute to developing quality assurance and collaboration practices for design. What you will do: focus on data-model coordination for road/streets/area projects, verify data model usability and quality, drive and develop data-model based methods in projects, participate in project-specific data-model plans and objectives, maintain close interaction with stakeholders and clients, and participate in international collaboration in our design projects. This suits you if you know road, public area or highway design and want to work where data-model expertise directly improves project smoothness, quality and collaboration. We expect you to have: applicable field education (e.g., DI, ins. AMK or other suitable background), at least three years’ experience in data-model coordination, data-modeling or related infra design tasks, strong Finnish language written and spoken skills, willingness to guide, coordinate and develop data-model based practices with other design disciplines, and a role where your data-model expertise contributes to day-to-day project work and how design information flows.
