ABOUT THE ROLE JOB TITLE: Portfolio Analyst LOCATION: Full-remote OR Hybrid (Milan HQ) TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent contract / full-time SALARY RANGE: €30.000-€36.000 gross/year + Bonus REPORTING TO: Revenue Manager What you'll do: - Own the global portfolio visibility and performance tracking, ensuring every WeRoad itinerary is monitored for sales, conversion, fill rate, and margin performance across all markets and product categories (TO and WRX). - Run portfolio analyses to identify which itineraries to scale, optimize, or kill, using data-driven insights on demand, profitability, reviews, and customer interest. - Monitor and evaluate competitive offerings, leveraging AI-based benchmarking tools to compare itineraries, prices, and product positioning against top competitors and emerging players. - Analyze market trends and traveler behavior to detect shifts in customer preferences, uncover gaps in the current portfolio, and identify new product development opportunities. - Assess the depth and balance of the offering, ensuring that WeRoad maintains the right mix of destinations, durations, price ranges, and travel moods while minimizing stock-out risk and operational inefficiencies. - Supervise offering planning and availability, verifying that all suppliers and internal teams confirm services and departures in line with forecasted demand for the next 18–24 months. - Collaborate with the Revenue Manager and Supply Managers to align portfolio management with demand forecasting and contracting strategies, ensuring cohesion between commercial, supply, and market goals. - Act as the central voice of portfolio health in Monthly Business Reviews, providing performance insights, competitor signals, and recommendations on new itinerary testing or deactivation. - Experiment with AI to continuously improve our analytical capabilities and automation for enhancing speed and precision in portfolio decision-making. What we’re looking for: - Master's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field. - AI Native knowledge of pricing, revenue, offering, competitor benchmarking. - A data-savvy and analytically strong professional who combines quantitative reasoning with strategic intuition, capable of reading numbers and translating them into actionable insights. - 1 or 2 years of experience in Portfolio or product performance analysis, ideally within travel, e-commerce, or marketplace environments where assortment management and pricing optimization are key. - Solid understanding of supply-demand dynamics, customer segmentation, and lifecycle performance of products or experiences. - Hands-on with tools and data: proficient in Excel/Sheets, SQL, BI dashboards, and able to work with AI-based or automation tools for benchmarking and forecasting. - Curious about travel trends and consumer behavior, with a genuine interest in how destinations, formats, and itineraries evolve over time. - Strong cross-functional collaborator, able to partner with Supply, Revenue Management, Product, and Commercial teams. - A problem solver and storyteller, capable of turning analysis into clear narratives and business decisions. - Fluency in English. Requirements
