Manufacturing Production Planner

We are looking for a production planner with strong CNC machining expertise for our client company in the machine shop industry. We are seeking someone with hands-on CNC machining experience and an interest in developing workshop operations. You may be an experienced CNC machinist or machining team leader looking to take the next step in your career towards production planning and methods development. In the role, you will plan and develop production practices and machining methods. You will ensure that the necessary materials and tools are available for manufacturing and that the methods work effectively, and look for ways to improve production efficiency, quality and flow. You will also take part in quotation calculations and work closely with other key production personnel. We expect you to have: - Strong practical CNC machining skills and knowledge of machining processes - Knowledge of materials, tools and machining methods - CAD/CAM skills and readiness to use them at work - An interest in production planning, methods development and problem-solving - An initiative-taking and practical approach A mechanical engineering degree and/or previous experience in production planning or supervision is an advantage, but the machining expertise needed for the role is most important.
