We are hiring Control Room Specialists for Are Oy in Kaivoksela, Vantaa, for permanent positions. As a Control Room Specialist, you are responsible for alarm monitoring of technical systems in customer properties, using remote connections to building automation when necessary. You support customers and the field organisation and ensure that incidents are identified quickly, handled correctly and that service continues smoothly. The role combines systems expertise, customer service and incident management in a 24/7 control room operating rotating shifts. You will work in our service centre team, where we help one another succeed in everyday work. Your duties: - Monitor alarms arriving in control room systems and prioritise the necessary actions. - When needed, prioritise building automation alarms in properties remotely. - Receive, process and forward alarms to the appropriate responsible persons or on-call staff. - Carry out agreed actions remotely in accordance with defined procedures. - Receive customer fault reports and service requests and record them in the systems. - Coordinate on-call tasks with field-duty personnel. - Report incidents, deviations and completed actions. - Participate in developing service processes and control room operations. We expect you to have suitable technical vocational or higher education, for example in electrical engineering, automation, HVAC or property services. Alternatively, you may have experience in control room, on-call, customer service or property technology work. You understand basic building-services processes and have experience with building automation or property technology. You use IT systems fluently and are keen to learn. You can calmly and systematically prioritise several simultaneous events. You have good customer-service and communication skills, work on your own initiative and are suited to shift work. You communicate fluently in Finnish and, when needed, also in English. Your background must be unblemished, and the person hired will undergo a basic security clearance.
