Location: Espoo, Finland Type: Permanent, full-time Work mode: On-site, with occasional travel if needed (for example to the UK) Reports to: Tech Team Lead At Hyperion Robotics, we are building advanced 3D concrete printing systems to make construction more sustainable, scalable, and intelligent. Our Tech team builds and looks after these systems and their electrical, mechanical and control equipment, and keeping them reliable is what keeps our production moving. We are now looking for a Maintenance Technician to join us in Espoo, Finland. You will keep our printing systems and R&D workshop in good shape by combining electrical work with mechanical maintenance. That means preventive maintenance routines, fault-finding and repairs, smaller electrical installations, and the records that go with them. You will work closely with our engineers and production team. This role is ideal for a certified electrician who wants to grow into mechanical maintenance. You do not need deep mechanical experience on day one, because we will train you on that side. What matters is that you are curious about how machines work and keen to learn. A typical week might include an electrical inspection, servicing production equipment with a colleague, wiring a new device into a test setup and updating maintenance records. You will enjoy it if you like hands-on variety, take safety seriously and want to see your work keep real machines running. What It Means In Practice: - Carrying out scheduled preventive maintenance on our production printing system, covering both electrical and mechanical routines and following our maintenance protocols and Lockout/Tagout procedures - Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical faults on production and R&D equipment, working with our automation engineers on control-side issues - Installing and assembling electrical and mechanical systems and components to specification, in line with Finnish electrical standards and our safety procedures - Building smaller electrical installations, such as power distribution for new test setups in our R&D area - Wiring electrical components, connecting devices to automation control boxes and setting up network communication between them - Keeping detailed records of installations, maintenance, repairs and modifications in our maintenance system - Writing and updating installation and maintenance protocols as new equipment is added and existing systems change - Supporting engineers in running and documenting tests on new and modified equipment - Maintaining and improving the Tech R&D workshop, including researching and purchasing tools and parts for the Tech team - Suggesting improvements to maintenance routines, spare parts and system design based on what you see in your daily work To Succeed In This Role, We Expect: - You hold the Finnish S2 electrical qualification (sähköpätevyys S2) and know the Finnish electrical standards and regulations that apply to your work. - You have professional experience as an electrician, ideally more than 2 years in an industrial setting such as manufacturing, production lines or machinery. - You can read and work from wiring and piping diagrams, and you are comfortable with installation, wiring and fault-finding in control cabinets. - You are curious about mechanical systems and keen to learn mechanical maintenance alongside your electrical work. - You put safety first and follow procedures such as Lockout/Tagout consistently, even when a job is urgent. - You solve problems methodically, working through a fault step by step rather than guessing. - You document your work clearly and logically, and you can turn what you know into installation and maintenance protocols that others can follow. - You communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written. - You work well independently and as part of a team, and you take ownership of the equipment you look after. It would be a plus if: - You have hands-on mechanical experience, at work or as a hobby, such as maintaining cars, motorbikes or machinery. - You have worked with PLC-based control systems and industrial networks. What we offer: - Competitive compensation package, including benefits and stock options - Additional paid holiday weeks during your first year of employment - Occupational healthcare through Terveystalo - EUR 300 per year for dental care - EUR 200 per year for leisure activities - A hands-on role at the core of Hyperion’s production, working on robotic 3D concrete printing systems - The opportunity to broaden your electrical expertise into mechanical maintenance, with training and support from experienced colleagues - A role where your improvements to maintenance routines and protocols will have visible impact on how reliably our systems run Sounds exciting? Send your CV and cover letter in English via our career website. We are continuously reviewing applications and will fill the role as soon as we find the right candidate. Please note that relocation support is not available for this position. Hyperion Robotics embraces diversity and equal opportunity. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We believe that the more inclusive we are, the better our company will be.
