Daycare Director

We are a small early childhood education group in Espoo. We operate in close collaboration with families and have an open, collaborative community where ideas are put into action. Our daycare in Olari is an Espoo municipal service day care with 18 full-time places for 1–5-year-old children, three educators, and our own cook. As the director, you lead daily operations with children and are responsible for the unit’s finances and personnel administration. You are organized, and experience in pedagogical and administrative leadership is an asset. You will also work as an educator in the group as a preschool teacher. Your duties include supporting children's growth, development, and learning, planning and implementing activities according to the early childhood education plan, and creating a safe and inspiring environment. In the group, there is also another preschool teacher with whom you collaborate closely and divide teaching duties as agreed. We work together with parents to support the children’s growth and development. We are open Monday–Friday from 8:00 to 17:00. The daycare is closed for five weeks in summer and two weeks at Christmas, during which staff take holidays. The position starts on 4 January 2027. We review applications during the application period and fill the role once a suitable person is found.
