Assembly Supervisor (F-35 Program)

Assembly at F-35 has started, and we need more expertise and personnel for factory production. You will get to build something new in an international environment and contribute to Finland’s security of supply. We are now looking for an Assembly Supervisor to support growing production and lead the hall’s day-to-day F-35 operational work. Your role includes creating the conditions required for operational work in your area according to production loading and schedules. Your duties consist of organising work, ensuring the prerequisites for work, and maintaining detailed production loading in the system. You will also take part in monitoring and developing production, occupational safety and quality together with the rest of the team. You will ensure production success and that set targets are met within the given schedule. You will take care of occupational safety and a good working atmosphere by setting an example. As the number of employees grows, you will also participate in recruiting and orienting new operators. You will also get to develop landing gear door production in particular according to Lean principles. You will have the support of the wider organisation and become part of a team of highly skilled professionals. What kind of professional are we looking for? You have several years of experience in operational leadership roles, and industrial assembly is familiar to you. You understand production processes and can choose the best possible work methods and work sequences for different products. You have excellent interaction skills and can collaborate smoothly with all stakeholders involved in production. You are effective and motivate others to work efficiently while maintaining an encouraging working atmosphere. The person selected must have: - A higher education degree, for example a university of applied sciences degree, and experience in manufacturing and assembly industry and supervisory roles. - Experience using information systems, such as MS Office, PDM and ERP. - A systematic approach to work and organisational skills. - Willingness to take on new challenges. - Good resilience under pressure. - Willingness to develop the workplace community’s operations and occupational safety. - Fluent spoken and written English and Finnish. The following are considered an advantage: - Experience in composite production. - Knowledge of Lean philosophy and methods. - Experience in production planning. - Knowledge of the aviation industry. - Experience in an international working environment.
