Service Coordinator

As a Service Guidance Counsellor, you will work in varied customer guidance duties within services for older people in the Pargas and Kimitoön areas. You advise and guide older people and their close ones through different channels and help find solutions and services suited to each client’s situation. Your duties include assessing service needs, managing client relationships and making official administrative decisions. You also assess and arrange home-based services for front-line veterans and war and military invalids. You meet clients in different situations, providing service guidance by phone, chat, at lectures, advice points and home visits. You work closely with clients and their relatives, service areas for older people, other service areas and private service providers. Your supervisor is a service supervisor. What we expect from you Good knowledge of the social and healthcare service system and services for older people, as well as a client-oriented approach, will support success in the role. You need good interaction and collaboration skills, organisational ability and readiness to work in a schedule-driven environment. We also expect: - The ability to solve problems quickly and make independent decisions - Skills in service-needs assessment and the RAI functional assessment tool - A driving licence and the opportunity to use your own car The eligibility requirement is a suitable higher education degree in social welfare or an earlier institute-level qualification. The language requirement is good spoken and written Finnish and Swedish. The appointment will be made based on an overall assessment comprising a comparison of applicants’ merits, interviews and suitability. Interested?
