Nurse in charge of medication management, Mainiokoti Siiri

We are seeking a nurse responsible for medication management for Mainiokoti Siiri in Oulu. The unit is a safe, warm home for the elderly with 30 residents, organized into three units, situated in a calm residential area in Oulu’s Jääli. Your role involves ensuring comprehensive medication care and proper implementation, updating unit-specific medication plans annually in collaboration with the unit manager and staff authorized to administer medicines, handling adverse drug event reports and preventive actions, supervising and documenting staff medication administration and medication order processes, keeping the list of authorized personnel up to date, identifying and pursuing additional training needs, disseminating medication-related information to staff, training and guiding staff on medication matters, maintaining order in the medication room, ensuring proper storage and cost control of medications, monitoring and disposing of aging medications, ensuring competency of medication-providers, acting as a liaison with the pharmacy and coordinating the medication order process, and participating in care negotiations as needed. The candidate should be a trained nurse with extensive elderly care experience and specific medication management experience is valued. The role is full-time, permanent, with 2-shift daytime work; the pay follows the private social services collective agreement (TES) with a base G24D plus a task-specific supplement of €150.
