Sales Assistant

Biltema is a family-owned company whose success stems from employees who approach their work with passion and pride. In Finland we employ over 550 eager people in 24 department stores during peak season. In 2025 we opened Biltema stores in Kouvola, Porvoo and Lohja, in February 2026 Hämeenlinna, and growth continues with plans for Oulu, Joensuu, andKokkola in autumn 2026. We are now seeking energetic part-time sales assistants for Biltema Tampere to work primarily at the cafe wagon attached to the Tampere department store, with occasional duties in-store. Positions are permanent with average weekly hours of 12 h for one role and 18 h for the other. In the Biltema cafe wagon you will ensure top-notch customer service, cash handling, product preparation and attractive presentation of the cafe wagon's offerings. When working as a sales assistant in the department store, your duties include standard sales tasks: customer service both in-store and at service points, cash handling, unloading, shelf replenishment, and maintaining store cleanliness. We expect from you: - A service and sales mindset with strong interpersonal skills - Legal age to sell our products - Willingness to work all shifts: morning, evening, and weekend shifts - Hygiene passport or willingness to obtain one (employer regularly provides hygiene passport training) - Experience in retail customer service and familiarity with cafe operations and cash handling is a plus - Finnish and/or Swedish language skills sufficient to serve customers in all service situations We offer: - A responsible and varied role within an international department store network - The Biltema cafe wagon and store and the operating practices - A relaxed and supportive work atmosphere with nice colleagues - Comprehensive onboarding and training for the role - Opportunity for long-term employment and career progression within a large company We follow the Kauppa (Retail) collective agreement, so hourly pay depends on experience and education (11.16 - 14.93 €/h).
