76% of job ads in Finland don't say what the job pays

Of the 13,948 active job listings located in Finland on 2 October 2026, only 3,393 (24%) state a salary at all. Openness varies a lot by field. Healthcare is the most open, with pay stated in 41% of its ads. Software engineering, the best-paid field we track (median €4,500 a month), states it in 16%. Across the largest fields, the better a field pays, the less often its ads mention pay.

We counted every active job listing located in Finland in the JobCrawls database on 2 October 2026 (13,948 listings). A posting cross-listed on several job boards counts once. An ad counts as stating pay if it gives a figure or a range. Median pay is the median of the stated minimum, converted to euros per month, from on-site and hybrid listings that state pay. We ranked the 12 largest fields with at least 20 such listings and left out the catch-all "Other" field.

The medians come only from ads that do state pay, so a field's real pay level can differ from what its silent ads would offer. Some employers publish pay on their own career sites or point to a collective agreement instead of naming a figure in the ad. When an ad says nothing about pay, the field's collective agreement, where one applies, and published salary data are the best starting point for a pay conversation.
