Interested in working with elderly in a friendly team? Itä-Uudenmaan hyvinvointialue is hiring two Practical Nurses for a fixed-term assignment from 7 October 2026 to 31 December 2026. The tasks are located at Omenamäen service center in Porvoo. The clients are over 65 years old seniors moving from their own home to communal rental housing. Approximately 80 clients are cared for. Our team consists of 23 Practical Nurses working in three shifts, plus two nurses and a coordinator who work daytime on weekdays. We are part of home care. As a Practical Nurse you participate in the daily life of the client and can influence how their evenings go. You can also influence the everyday life or celebrations you arrange for the elderly in Omenamäen. Our professional and experienced work community supports you during onboarding and whenever you need guidance. We use autonomous shift planning to enable flexible scheduling and work-life balance. Occupational health services are provided by Mehiläinen. Eligibility requires a Practical Nurse qualification or former basic nurse qualification and licensure according to the Social Welfare Professionals Act (817/2015). Finnish language skills (both written and spoken) are required; knowledge of both official languages is an asset. Employment terms follow the SOTE agreement. Working hours are 38.25 hours per week, three-shift work. The task-specific salary is 2746.46 EUR/month. Trial period applies. Vaccination against infectious diseases and hygienic passport are required. A police clearance certificate under the Social and Health Care Supervisory Act (741/2023) must be presented before taking up the position. Applications must be sent by 6 October 2026 at 23:59.
