Oulu Sinfonia is hiring two permanent positions for Violinist (tutti) II. Oulu Sinfonia is Finland's northernmost symphony orchestra with 61 members. In addition to symphony concerts, the orchestra's repertoire includes diverse concert content. The Madetojan Hall at Oulu Music Center has 816 seats. The task involves performing as a violinist (tutti) II in the symphony orchestra. The musician's duties include maintaining their playing skills and performing other tasks related to their field. The position requires excellent playing skills and good social interaction skills. Salary includes experience allowances according to the Collective Agreement (TES), costume and instrument allowances. Additionally, a locally agreed usage and media fee is paid. The audition is on Friday, October 16, 2026, starting at 10:00 at Oulu Music Center, Madetojan Hall (Leevi Madetojan katu 3, 90140, Oulu). Audition tasks: 1. A movement with cadenzas from one of the following works: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major, K.216 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major, K.218 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major, K.219 A freely chosen Romantic violin concerto, with cadenzas in the 1st movement. The audition program must be indicated on the application form (additional information in the column). After the application period, selected candidates will be invited to the audition. The position has a probation period of six (6) months. The selected candidate must present an acceptable health certificate before accepting the position.
