We are hiring for a versatile role as a child care worker in early childhood education, with a mobile substitute position based at Kilonpuiston day care center. The substitute is a welcomed fill-in not only for Kilonpuiston day care center but also for other group family day care centers and kindergartens in the Kilon sub-area. You will be part of our high-quality staff, a familiar and skilled substitute for children. The mobile substitute receives a role-specific allowance. In Kilon sub-area we emphasize positivity, small group work and a supportive atmosphere. We are a diverse area and strive to ensure every child’s participation and learning while fostering a motivating work community. Your work team may rotate weekly and daily; working hours are generally 8:21–16:00. Units will orient you to your child groups. You will always have support from your supervisor and the unit’s staff. You are also entitled to Espoo’s continuing education and staff benefits. The workplace name and address: Kilonpuiston day care center, Inkoonkuja 15 A, 02600 Espoo / Kilon sub-area early childhood education units. Working hours: 38 h 15 min per week. The position is temporary for 31.8.2026–31.5.2027. We can process applications and start interviews during the application period. Selection will be made after the application period ends and interviews are completed. Qualification: According to the Vocational Qualification in Early Childhood Education and Guidance or an equivalent qualification that includes extensive studies in child care, upbringing and teaching (e.g. childminder, day care worker, assistant nurse). The role requires a flexible attitude to changing everyday situations and good interaction skills. The selected candidate must present a police background check as required by law. The Tuberculosis risk assessment is a requirement for those working with preschool children. We value the ability to meet children and their parents individually, respectfully and sensitively; teamwork and enthusiasm for developing the day care center’s operations are also valued.
