Special Class Teacher, Järnefelt Comprehensive School - Lohjan kaupunki - Lojo, Finland

We are seeking a special class teacher for Järnefelt Comprehensive School for a fixed-term position from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. In our school, daily collaboration takes place with teachers, student welfare coordinators, and other staff. A mentor teacher from our school will be appointed to support your orientation and integration into our work community. Our school has a well-functioning student welfare team with whom you will collaborate. The teaching staff consists of about 70 members. Our development focus areas include strengthening the comprehensive school culture, co-teaching, and enhancing literacy skills. The certificates should show the completed degree and qualifying studies (e.g., pedagogical studies 60 credits, multidisciplinary studies 60 credits, subject teacher qualifications 60/120 credits). The salary for qualified applicants is between 3029.51 and 3243.27 euros/month plus possible annual bonuses, according to OVTES. For teachers in Lohja basic education, a TVA compensation of 146.55 euros/month is paid (Lohja-TVA). An additional TVA of 120.15 euros/month is paid to special class teachers. Other TVA compensations may also apply when working for Lohja city. The position is subject to a trial period of half the length of the employment. The selected candidate must present a health certificate from Keski-Uudenmaan Työterveys Oy, Lohja office, within one month of starting employment.
