The position is for a special class teacher at a comprehensive school. We are now looking for an enthusiastic and skilled special class teacher for primary school to join our team. Kaitaan School is a unified basic education school with approximately 720 students from Pre-primary to 9th grade. Our school offers specialized art education as well as preparatory and group-based immigrant education. Our school is part of the UNESCO school network, which emphasizes global citizenship and sustainable development. The upper comprehensive school is located at Iivisniementie 1, and the primary school at Arttelikuja 4. Qualified special class teachers will receive a salary based on the pay scale plus a supplement based on job complexity. Teacher qualifications are determined according to the decree no 986/98 on the qualifications of education personnel. According to section 9 of the decree, teachers providing basic education must have excellent oral and written skills in Finnish. Non-qualified applicants may also be considered for temporary positions. The position requires excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction. Applicants must present a criminal record extract as specified in the Criminal Records Act section 6.2.
