We are seeking a skilled cook for the Tuusula municipality’s production kitchen. What is a cook’s work week? Your work week from Monday to Friday includes diverse kitchen and customer service work and development. Your duties include all cook tasks in production, independently handling the cold preparation process, cooking hot meals and dispatching to the distribution kitchen, preparing meals for special diets and staff dining production. The role also includes preparing and serving orders. As a cook you also ensure product quality and safety. You will contribute to future product development and meeting customer needs. Your workplace is the production kitchen in the Regiment Building in Hyrylä. The kitchen produces about 8000 portions daily and about 400 special-diet portions. Meals go to municipal schools, daycares and staff restaurant customers. The kitchen also prepares orders and meeting catering for the municipality. Our cook thus contributes to daily nutrition and flavors for children and adults in daycares and schools and provides modern, diverse meals and catering for staff and meeting venues. What kind of worker are we looking for? The job requires a catering-sector basic qualification or equivalent training and experience, ability to take responsibility for food preparation according to existing processes and instructions, strong knowledge of production-management systems and self-monitoring. A hygienic passport (hygieniapassi) or willingness to obtain it before starting is required. You are diligent, proactive and meticulous, work professionally and independently as part of a team. Good physical condition and positive attitude are needed. Finnish language proficiency is required for spoken and written communication. The employment details: permanent temp job through ATA Henkilöstöpalvelut Oy; after a fixed period you transfer to the municipality’s staff. Start in September-October. The collective agreement KVTES applies. Weekly hours 38 h 15 min; usually 7-15 Monday to Friday. Salary 2557.77 €/month; possible seniority pay based on previous work. Salary paid on the 15th.
