We are hiring at Siuntionkujan daycare in Espoo to enable the best possible day for every child. We are seeking a qualified early childhood education child care worker for a fixed-term position. Our daycare has two groups for children aged 1–5 years. The position would be in the larger group of 3–5-year-olds. We emphasize positivity, small-group work, and a supportive atmosphere along with a sense of community. We are a diverse and culturally varied community and strive to ensure every child’s participation and learning, and to create a motivating atmosphere in our work community. We also aim to maintain a strong dialogue with the families we serve. Your closest colleagues will be two early childhood education teachers. In daily work you will be supported by our entire community, especially your fellow child care worker, as you join them for a monthly pedagogical meeting for child care workers. We maintain a collaborative work environment marked by empathy and openness, with a welcoming attitude toward new employees and substitutes. Workplace: Siuntionkujan päiväkoti, Siuntionkuja 1, 02600 Espoo Working hours: 38 h 15 min/week The position is fixed-term from 31.8.2026 to 31.5.2027. Requirement: According to the Varhaiskasvatuslaki (540/2018, 28 § asetus 753/2018 3 § ja 4 §) suitability. A suitable degree in the field of education and guidance, or a social and health care basic degree or other equivalent degree, including extensive studies in child care, upbringing and education. Eg. child caretaker, day care worker and practical nurse (training program for child care and upbringing). The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by the Criminal Records Act 6.2 §. Tuberculosis exposure risk assessment is required when working with pre-school children.
