At Kellotorni, we are looking for a skilled event shift manager who leads the operational implementation of events on-site and enjoys doing things properly every time. Kellotorni is a brewery restaurant, experience venue, and event center located in the iconic Eliel Saarinen-designed environment at Helsinki Central Railway Station. We opened in November 2025, and our operations have gained strong momentum. Our event business is growing rapidly. We organize both corporate events (meetings, seminars, dinners) and private celebrations, typically for 50–200 guests. Quality, smoothness, and overall experience are always central. Your role As an event shift manager, you are responsible for the operational execution of events on-site. The role is very hands-on, leading the event flow and participating actively. In the eyes of the customer, you are the person who keeps the strings in hand during the event. You will work closely with the event coordinator/producer, who is responsible for planning and client communication before the event. When the event begins, operational responsibility shifts to you, and you will lead the implementation, ensuring everything functions as agreed and polished. Our operating models, products, and processes are already in place and are continuously developed. Your task is to implement them effectively together with the head chef and the team. Your role is central to the success of the events. You ensure that the planned overall experience translates into a smooth and high-quality execution. Your tasks include - Operational management of events and guiding the hall team on-site - Organizing hall and service work and actively participating in implementation - Managing the flow of the event: schedule, catering, atmosphere, and customer experience - Ensuring service quality in all situations - Planning and managing beverage service and coordinating orders - Seamless collaboration with sales, kitchen, producer, and operational management - Monitoring, managing, and recording events in systems (e.g., Hailer and Restolution) We expect from you - Professional skills and experience in restaurant hall work and shift management - Experience in events or catering for larger occasions - Ability to lead a team and be actively involved in the work - Good situational awareness and ability to keep the overall picture under control, even in busy situations - Precision and responsibility in record-keeping - Pride in professionalism and a desire to do things properly, even under pressure - Fluent Finnish and good English skills - Flexibility in working hours (evenings and weekends) What we offer - A full-time and responsible role in a growing, well-known venue - Clear job description and ready operating models, allowing focus on high-quality execution - A good team and opportunities to develop within the event business - Work in one of Helsinki’s most beautiful environments, at the main railway station - Salary approximately 3000 €/month + bonuses, depending on experience (Mara TES) The work begins on August 17 or by agreement.
