Specialist, Recognition of Qualifications and Language Skills Unit - Opetushallitus - Helsingfors, Finland

Position located in the Customer Relations and Information Department, Recognition of Qualifications and Language Skills Unit. The Customer Relations and Information Department provides national services for skills development and verification, promotes the use of information, and is a strategic partner in agency management and service development. The Recognition of Qualifications and Language Skills Unit is responsible for tasks and registers related to general language tests, government language tests, language proficiency assessments for integration training, the authorized translator examination system, and the court interpreter register. Additionally, the unit is responsible for issuing work permits based on foreign qualifications, tasks of the competent authority in recognizing professional qualifications, and national dissemination of frameworks for qualifications, academic recognition, and the Professional Qualifications Directive. The Specialist acts as the team leader for language tests. The language tests team handles general language tests, government language tests, and the language proficiency final test for integration training. The Specialist also serves as the service manager for the ICT system of general language tests. The service manager is responsible for operational activities, communication, customer relations, stakeholder cooperation, reporting, and documentation. The role includes guiding and monitoring ICT development teams responsible for digital services related to language and translator examinations.
