Lingsoft is a leading provider of language services and language technology solutions in Finland and the Nordic countries. Its customers include several public administration organisations, institutions of the European Union and corporate clients. Together with its subcontractor network, Lingsoft provides translation, subtitling and transcription services, combining artificial intelligence with human expertise. We are now looking especially for freelance translators for translation and post-editing work on public administration texts in the language pairs Finnish–Bulgarian and Finnish–Vietnamese. What we expect from you Previous experience translating different kinds of public administration documents, for example legal and official texts or texts in social and healthcare Studies in the field or another suitable educational background (e.g. translation studies, linguistics, business studies or political science); knowledge of other specialist fields is an advantage Excellent Finnish skills (studies in Finnish are useful) Native-level command of the target language A sole proprietorship or company, or the ability to invoice through an invoicing service Accuracy, speed and flexibility A positive attitude towards machine translation and post-editing If you are interested and recognise yourself in this description, please submit your application!
