Sales Engineer

The role is a Sales Engineer with responsibility for tender calculations and preparation of technical bids for industrial pipework and steel structures. The successful candidate will work as part of a sales team, participating in major industrial projects from the bid phase through to the submission of the final offer. Tasks include preparing cost estimates, evaluating materials, procurements and manpower costs, and assisting in the planning of implementation solutions and schedules in collaboration with the project organization. The role also involves documentation and reporting related to bids, ensuring technically feasible, high-quality, and commercially viable solutions in close cooperation with the sales, design, procurement and project teams. Regular customer and site visits, hybrid work model, permanent employment, and work location at Bilfinger’s Oulu or Porvoo offices. Requirements include a engineering degree (mechanical, process or energy engineering) or a Master of Engineering, several years of tendering experience in industry, familiarity with tender/costing systems, ability to work with 3D models and interpret drawings, independent and responsible work style, strong analytical and organizational skills, excellent collaboration and customer-focused attitude, willingness to travel for customer/project visits, fluent Finnish and English (other languages are a plus).
