Shift Supervisor

We are seeking a shift supervisor for the paper machine, pulp production and steaming plant area for a permanent position. In this role you are responsible for the safe, efficient and productive operation of the shift and you will lead the staff working on the shift. Your tasks include leading the shift’s safety culture, performance and results, reporting incidents and deviations appropriately, staffing and resource planning according to shift needs, developing staff skills and onboarding, and ensuring smooth daily production in collaboration with various stakeholders. We appreciate a person who wants to develop operations and lead people with safety and productivity in mind. You will set an example with your actions and build a positive, proactive work culture in daily practice. We especially value ambition, responsibility, adaptability in changing situations, analytical thinking and problem solving, and the ability to lead people and make decisions under pressure. Requirements: a suitable university degree (AMK, YAMK or DI), several years of experience leading production, maintenance or similar industrial operations, experience in personnel management, knowledge of production processes and/or maintenance, experience in Lean thinking or continuous improvement or similar operating models, good collaboration and interaction skills, fluent Finnish and English skills.
