Shift Manager

Are you Lidl’s newest team member? Attention those interested in supervisory experience! We are looking for a Shift Manager for our Pakila store in Helsinki. Previous supervisory experience is not required; the right attitude is what matters! As the title suggests, the Shift Manager leads their own shift and is responsible for ensuring that everyday store operations—and especially the work of store employees—run smoothly when the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager is absent. Supervisory work is a valuable addition to anyone’s CV, and the Shift Manager role is a great step on a leadership career path. The job is also well suited to career changers who already have experience leading teams. At the same time, the position is a good opportunity to try out responsibility without having to carry it all alone. What we hope for from you: - A cheerful customer-service attitude: for us, this means humility to learn, curiosity to ask questions and energy to serve. - Experience in retail. Experience in any service field is also an excellent background, so apply confidently. We will give you thorough training even if your only experience of a store has been as a customer. - An interest in supervisory work. You do not need previous experience; you will have the opportunity to learn with us. You also want to grow and develop. - The ability to serve customers in Finnish. Native-level Finnish is not required; we consider Finnish at B1 level sufficient. We do not require language tests, but you should be able to greet customers and help them find products in the store. This is intended to help you succeed and handle the tasks required in the job. What we offer: - Competitive pay. We ensure pay equality and fairness through an equal pay system. We follow the retail-sector collective agreement and pay Shift Managers €14.59–€16.90 per hour. The basic hourly wage depends on the selected person’s work experience and education. On top of this, there is a separate Lidl supplement of 1.5%–10%, as well as evening, weekend and Sunday supplements under the collective agreement. - Good benefits.
