Dobra is looking for energetic restaurant workers and cooks for its client companies, especially in Kokkola, Pietarsaari and nearby areas. Work may also be available elsewhere in Central Ostrobothnia and Ostrobothnia. The pre-Christmas season brings more bustle to restaurants, and preparations for the coming summer season begin in spring. Now is a good time to join the team and add shifts to your calendar! What kind of work is available? We are looking for people for two different types of roles. Restaurant workers Serving and customer service Working at the till Setting tables and maintaining the dining area Kitchen assistance Cooks Preparing food and making dishes Daily kitchen tasks Handling and preparing ingredients Taking care of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene Duties vary according to the restaurant and your skills. Each assignment may be a little different, so you can explore different work environments and gain experience at a variety of locations. What kind of person would fit in? We hope you are energetic, reliable and ready to get to work. A positive attitude goes a long way, and teamwork helps get things done even when it is busy! We hope you have: Experience in the restaurant industry or relevant skills for the role Initiative and the ability to work under pressure Good teamwork skills and a flexible attitude A willingness to learn and develop your skills Language skills suited to the role: the working language may be Finnish, Swedish or English depending on the restaurant and kitchen. For cook roles, kitchen skills and experience in food preparation are particularly valued. What kind of work is available? The work is mainly gig-based, but other contract arrangements may also be available. In gig work, shifts vary according to client companies’ needs, and work is often offered on an as-needed basis. Shifts may be offered irregularly—sometimes individual shifts, sometimes several in a week. Assignments may also include covering employee absences. When demand is high and you are available, your calendar may fill up nicely! Gig work suits you if you value variety and flexibility or want to work alongside other commitments. You will also get to know different restaurants and demonstrate your skills. Some locations may also offer longer employment periods. Depending on the location, shifts are available during the day, evenings and weekends.
