About the role

Make every engineer more powerful with AI. AI is changing how software gets built. At Nordnet, engineers are already working with AI agents daily — and the bottlenecks are shifting. Code gets written faster, but reviews pile up. Workflows accelerate, but orchestration lags behind. The Agents team exists to solve this. We're a platform team responsible for scaling AI adoption and AI productivity across Nordnet by building agentic workflows and orchestration into the software development lifecycle. Right now, we're building an automated agentic code review process — our first step toward removing the review bottleneck that emerged as engineers started working more agentically. We're looking for engineers who want to work at the intersection of developer tooling and AI. If you're excited about designing systems that make hundreds of engineers measurably more productive, this is the role. In this role, you'll work across the engineering organisation to: Design and build agentic workflows that automate and accelerate parts of the SDLC Develop the tooling and orchestration layer for AI-assisted code review, testing, and delivery Identify bottlenecks in developer workflows and build AI-powered solutions to remove them Maintain and evolve our internal developer portal and shared tooling Create data-driven insights that help teams understand and improve their engineering practices Collaborate closely with product and platform teams to drive adoption of new tools and workflows. This is hands-on engineering work with high organizational impact. You'll ship things that change how the entire company builds software. You are an engineer with a strong software development background who: Has built production systems and understands what makes them reliable. Is curious about AI, LLMs, and agentic patterns — and wants to apply them to real problems. Cares about developer experience and thinks in terms of reducing friction at scale. Communicates clearly and enjoys working across teams to find pragmatic solutions. Is comfortable navigating ambiguity — this is a fast-moving space and we're charting new territory. We don't expect you to tick every box. If your experience is adjacent and you're excited about building AI-powered developer tooling, we encourage you to apply. We value engineers who: Are pragmatic and collaborative. Are comfortable giving and receiving feedback. Care about simplicity and measurable outcomes over complexity. Enjoy working closely with their internal customers. Take a scientific approach — experiment, measure, iterate. Experience that will help you succeed: TypeScript, Java, or Golang. Cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and infrastructure as code (Terraform). CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling. Working with LLMs, AI APIs, or building agentic systems. Data analysis and visualisation (BigQuery, VertexAI, or similar). Containerisation and orchestration (Kubernetes). We offer: A collaborative environment where learning is continuous. Meaningful technical challenges to tackle together with experienced colleagues. A front-row seat to how AI is reshaping software engineering — and the chance to drive it. Opportunities to grow as an engineer and/or leader. Competitive salary and compensation. Who we are: Nordnet started from a passionate belief that changing the hierarchical financial world was possible. We became part of redefining the industry when we gave the customers power over their own savings. You will become part of a journey that has only yet started towards the vision of making our customers the best investors they can be. To be leading in IT is pivotal for that journey and you will work with colleagues who have a great passion for that goal. We are 800 employees in Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki and Copenhagen. We cooperate, exchange ideas and use our core competencies in order to continuously improve the way we meet our customers. Open communication, creativity and engagement are important parts of our everyday life at the office. Culture is built and cared for, each day by everyone. We're proud of ours. Having a flat organization where anyone can talk to anyone creates a warm and friendly atmosphere worth protecting. We believe in a culture where every effort counts and where everyone is being recognized. A culture embracing our core values – passion, simplicity and transparency on all levels, no matter who you are or what you do.
