Practical Nurse (On-Call)

We are looking for a practical nurse for on-call employment at Onnikoti Albert in Porvoo. Come and do care and guidance work with people with acquired disabilities as part of our unique team at Onnikoti Albert in Porvoo! Onnikoti Albert is a round-the-clock supported housing unit for people who have acquired disabilities, for example as a result of a traffic accident or neurological illness. You are a qualified practical nurse or a student who has reached the final stage of your studies. A positive and self-directed person will enjoy working with us. As a practical nurse, you will carry out daily nursing work and develop the unit’s operations together with other team members. Our everyday life is active, and we continuously organise activities for our residents. Performing nursing duties requires Finnish language proficiency of at least B1, while assisting duties require at least A2 or an equivalent level, as well as a commitment to maintaining your language skills. The work requires vaccination protection in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act, a tuberculosis assessment and a salmonella certificate, as well as current registration in the Suosikki/Terhikki register, a professional card and a hygiene passport. The work is in three shifts, and pay follows the private social services collective agreement. The position is on-call employment. Under the Act on the Supervision of Social Welfare and Health Care, people selected for duties involving work with older or disabled people must present a criminal record extract referred to in section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act. Employees in our unit must also have vaccination protection (Communicable Diseases Act 48/2016), a hygiene passport, a salmonella certificate and good Finnish language skills at B1 level.
