Practical Nurse / Support Worker

Seeking a support worker specialising in mental health and substance abuse work for Attendo Hehku in Haukiluoma, Tampere. Attendo Hehku provides a home for clients who need individual support in managing everyday life and rehabilitation towards a more independent life. Our clients are young adults aged 18 and over. Our work is guided by solution-focused approaches, activity and community. In everyday life, we practise life-management and everyday skills together in a goal-oriented and rehabilitative way. We operate at two locations. Haukiluoma provides round-the-clock supported housing, while Linnainmaa offers lighter community-based housing. Your work will mainly be based at Haukiluoma. Each client has an individual implementation plan, which is updated regularly according to recovery-oriented principles. We assess functional ability, for example, with RAI assessments. Our methods include recovery-oriented practice and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). All our employees receive introductory DBT training. Everyday life is planned and developed together with clients, for example at weekly house meetings. The day is shaped by clients’ wishes, needs and goals and may include hobbies, group activities, studies, errands, and day and work activities. Everyday skills such as personal care, cleaning and managing finances are central to our work. The position is full-time and permanent. The work is performed in three shifts, with an emphasis on evening and night work. The start date can be agreed with you. What we require from you A vocational qualification in social and health care (practical nurse). Previous work experience with young people receiving mental health rehabilitation. Medication permits. Vaccination protection as referred to in section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act, to protect clients and patients throughout the employment relationship. A hygiene passport, or readiness to complete one within three months of starting employment. Fluent Finnish. A criminal record extract for employment lasting more than three months. The terms of employment and pay follow the collective agreement for private social services. The salary range is €2,493.06–€2,719.93, depending on your work experience.
