New Store Opening: Store Manager

A nearly 100-year-old Partioaitta is expanding! We will open a new Partioaitta store in Pori, in Satakunta’s largest mall Puuvilla, and we are now seeking an enthusiastic and customer-service oriented store manager for the new store. The contract (30 hours per week) starts in early November, with orientation arranged partly at our Tampere stores. Partioaitta has since 1928 focused on retail of outdoor and camping equipment nationwide, with 24 stores and an online store. Our quality product range supports our sustainability and wellbeing through outdoor activity. Our sustainability strategy aims to sell our products to meet needs and to develop circular economy. Our customers, staff and owners share a love of nature born from work and hobbies, which also creates the expertise with which we want to serve our customers. Consumers have repeatedly chosen Partioaitta as Finland’s most respected sports retail brand and among the most responsible in its field. We train our staff regularly to provide the best possible service. We operate with a flexible work time system and the pay for the store manager role follows the Kauppa-alan C-table. The store manager’s primary task is sales with a strong emphasis on professional, positive customer service. The store manager acts proactively in line with the company values and operating guidelines. The store manager plays a key role in contributing to developing the company’s operations by example. Responsibilities include: monitoring store sales and directing operations together with the store manager; prioritising and planning daily tasks; ensuring and preparing store campaigns and commercial activity; maintaining product knowledge by participating in employer-provided training; handling receipt of products, replenishment, stock shortfalls and register errors, and store cleanliness and order. To succeed in this role you need: commercial education and/or retail experience; good with people and ability to motivate your team; a sense for visual merchandising; meticulous and organized, able to prioritise tasks in a hurry; excellent customer service and enjoying customer encounters; self-driven and proactive.
